Boarding businesses can now set a minimum booking value on selected Boarding services and protected dates. If a pet parent's estimated service total falls below the minimum, they cannot submit the booking in Online Booking until they extend the stay or add qualifying care.
This prevents low-value, short-stay bookings from blocking availability during peak periods, protecting revenue on high-demand dates without turning away every short stay.
Use case:
A boarding business sets a minimum booking value on December 23–26. A pet parent tries to book a single night on the 23rd for less than the minimum. Online Booking blocks submission until they either extend their stay or add qualifying services to meet the minimum. Staff, however, can still view and override the booking as an exception if the business chooses to allow it.
👉 How it works:
- Go to Settings → Services → Pricing rules → Minimum booking value (under Booking policy) to set your minimum and select protected dates.
- Staff still see the booking with a clear warning and can override it as an exception when needed.
