Grooming Appointment - Create New

You can create a grooming appointment in several ways. During booking, you can customize details such as:

  • Appointment date and time

  • Services and add-ons

  • Assigned staff

  • Duration and price


How to Create a Grooming Appointment

You can create a grooming appointment in several ways in MoeGo:

  • From the + Quick Actions button

  • From the Grooming Calendar

  • From the Client profile

  • By using Book Again on an existing appointment

Once created, you can customize the date, services, staff, price, and duration before confirming the booking.

Create a Grooming Appointment (🖥️Desktop)

Method 1: Create from the + Button

  1. Click the + button in the top menu bar

  2. Select Create Appointment

  3. Select the business location (if you have multiple locations)

  4. Choose the client and pet

  5. Add services and confirm the appointment.


Method 2: Create from the Grooming Calendar

  1. Go to Calendar

  2. Click an available time slot under a staff member

  3. Select Add

The booking drawer will open with the selected staff and time already filled in.

Then:

  1. Select client

  2. Select pet

  3. Add services

  4. Click Book Now


3. Create from the Client Profile

  1. Go to Clients & Pets in the side menu

  2. Open the client profile

  3. Click + Book Appointment in the top-right corner

Fill in the appointment details in the booking panel.


Method 4: Book Again from a Previous Appointment

To quickly recreate a previous appointment:

  1. Open an existing appointment

  2. Click the three-dot menu

  3. Select Book Again

All appointment details will be copied.

⚠️ The appointment time defaults to the current date and time, so adjust it if needed.


Appointment Creation Flow

Select a Client

You can:

  • Search for an existing client by name

  • Select a client from the dropdown list

  • Add a new client

If you choose Add Client, a quick pop-up allows you to create the client and continue booking.

Click Show More Options to open the full Create Client page.

How to Add Pets and Services to an Appointment

Method 1: Manually Select Pet & Service

Click + Pets and Service to choose the pet and services for the appointment.

Method 2: Use Last Appointment Details

When hovering over Pets & Service, you may see the client’s previous appointment details.

You can click on book again to quickly reuse:

  • Pet and service

  • Assigned staff


Manually Select Pets

Choose one or more pets from the dropdown list.

You can also click + New Pet to add a new pet quickly.

Required fields include:

  • Name

  • Gender

  • Pet type

  • Breed

  • Weight

  • Coat type

Click Show More Options to add additional information such as:

  • Spayed / neutered status

  • Birthday

  • Behavior notes

  • Pet codes

  • Pet photo


Manually Select Services

After selecting the pet:

  1. Choose a service

  2. Add optional add-ons

Helpful tips:

  • The last booked service appears at the top

  • Enable Only Show Applicable Services to filter services based on pet size or breed restrictions.

⚠️ At least one service is required.
Appointments cannot be created with add-ons only.

Click Save to confirm the pet and service selection.


How Staff Is Assigned to the Appointment

Staff is automatically selected based on:

  1. Last Appointment Groomer (When book again)

  2. Preferred Groomer

  3. First available groomer in the staff list

You can manually change the assigned staff if needed.

You can also:


Add Multiple Pets to an Appointment

For multi-pet families:

Click + Additional Pet to add more pets to the same appointment.

Each pet can have its own service and assigned staff.


Customize Appointment Details

You can edit appointment details before booking:

  • Date and start time

  • Service duration

  • Service price

  • Assigned staff

If you adjust price or duration, you can enable: Save customized price/duration for this pet

This will apply the same settings automatically for future bookings.


Set Date and Time

Adjust the appointment date and start time as needed.

If there are conflicts (such as overlapping appointments or staff being off schedule), a yellow warning message will appear.


Complete the Appointment

After confirming all details:

  1. Click Book Now

You will be asked if you want to send an appointment confirmation message to the client.

Options include:

  • Not this time

  • Send now

  • Schedule for later

If the appointment requires a client agreement, a prompt will appear asking if you want to send the agreement as well.


Create a Grooming Appointment (📱 Mobile App)

Method 1: Create from the + Button

  1. Tap the + button in the top-right corner.

  2. Select New Appointment.

  3. Choose the client and pet, then tap Next Step.

  4. Tap Select Service, choose the desired service, and tap Add.

  5. Tap Add Service Time, then choose one of the following:

    • Smart Scheduling to find recommended time slots

    • Select Date to manually choose a date and time from the calendar

  6. Tap Confirm, then tap Add to schedule the appointment.


Method 2: Create from the Grooming Calendar

  1. Go to Appointments from the side menu

  2. Tap an available time slot

  3. Tap Add

Then:

  1. Select or create a client

  2. Select one or more pets

  3. Tap Next Step

  4. Tap Select Service

  5. Choose the service and tap Add

Finally, tap Add in the top-right corner to save the appointment.


Method 3: Create from Client Profile

  1. Go to Clients & Pets

  2. Open the client profile

  3. Tap + New Appointment

Then select the pet, service, and time.

You can also use Smart Scheduling to find an available slot.


3. Book Again from an Existing Appointment

  1. Open an existing appointment from the calendar or client profile

  2. Tap Book Again

This will copy the previous appointment details.

You can then tap Edit to adjust the date or use Smart Scheduling to find a new time.

Tap Add to save the new appointment.
