Appointment - Multi-pets with multi-staff

When a client brings multiple pets for grooming on the same day, you can place all pets under one appointment ticket. Each pet can have its own service and assigned staff.

This allows your team to manage multi-pet bookings more efficiently while keeping all services organized under one ticket.


Add Multiple Pets to One Appointment

  1. Go to the Grooming Calendar.

  2. Click an appointment card to open the appointment drawer.

  3. In the Pet & Service section, click + Add Pet.

  4. Select an existing pet or create a new pet.

  5. Choose the service for the pet.

By default, the system assigns the same groomer to the additional pet.
You can change the assigned staff by clicking Edit on the pet service card.

To add more pets, repeat the steps and click + Add Pet again.

  1. Open the appointment details from the calendar.

  2. Tap Change next to the pet name.

  3. Select another pet or tap Create New Pet.

  4. Tap Next Step.

  5. Select the service and tap Save.


Assign Different Groomers for Different Pets

Each pet in the same ticket can be assigned to different staff members.

When pets have different groomers:

  • The appointment appears under each staff member’s schedule.

  • Separate appointment cards appear on the calendar.

On desktop, hovering over the card will display:

ā€œPartial service of a full ticket.ā€

This indicates the service is part of a shared appointment ticket.

Multiple Pets Start One by One

By default, Multiple pets start at the same time is unchecked.

When this option is disabled:

  • Pets are groomed sequentially.

  • The second pet’s service begins after the first pet’s service ends.

Calendar Display

  • If both pets have the same groomer, they appear on one appointment card.

  • If pets have different groomers, they appear on separate cards but follow the sequential schedule.

Multiple Pets Start at the Same Time

If you enable Multiple pets start at the same time:

  • All pets’ services begin at the same start time.

  • Each service is displayed separately on the calendar.

The length of each appointment card reflects the service duration for that pet.

Sequential Grooming (Default)

Turn off the toggle:

Multiple pets start at the same time

Result:

  • Pets are scheduled one after another.

Simultaneous Grooming

Turn on the toggle:

Multiple pets start at the same time

Result:

  • All services start at the same time.

  • Separate appointment cards appear based on each pet’s service duration.
