How to add and convert leads

How to add leads manually, how MoeGo captures them automatically from supported channels, and how to convert a lead into a client when they're ready.

Leads Management captures potential customers automatically from supported channels β€” but you can also add them manually. Once a lead is ready to become a client, you can convert them with a single click.

How leads are added

Leads come into MoeGo in two ways: automatically from supported channels, or manually by you or your staff.

Automatically from supported channels

When Leads Management is enabled, MoeGo automatically creates a lead when someone contacts you through:

  • Abandoned Online Booking β€” a potential client who started but didn't complete a booking

  • Intake form submissions β€” a new form submission with no existing client profile

  • Phone calls β€” an incoming call to your MoeGo business number

  • Text messages (SMS) β€” an incoming SMS to your MoeGo business number

  • Custom channels β€” any additional sources you've set up, such as social media or referrals

Add a lead manually

You can add a lead directly if someone reaches out through a channel that isn't automatically captured β€” for example, a walk-in or a phone call you logged offline.

  1. Go to Customer Center > Leads Management.

  2. Click Add Lead.

  3. Fill in the required fields

    1. Phone number (required)

    2. Lifecycle stage

    3. Preferred business

    4. Any required custom fields

  4. Click Save to create the lead.

Duplicate phone number check

If the phone number you enter already exists in MoeGo, the system will warn you before saving.

You can:

  • Review the existing lead or client profile

  • Continue creating a new entry, or open the existing profile instead

This prevents accidental duplicate records.

Convert a lead to a client

When a lead is ready to become a client, you can convert them manually β€” or MoeGo will prompt conversion automatically when the lead takes a qualifying action.

πŸ’‘ Tip: When you convert a lead, MoeGo carries over their contact details, pet information, activity history, and notes to the new client profile. Nothing is lost.

Automatic conversion

MoeGo automatically converts a lead to a client when they:

  • Book their first appointment

  • Purchase a package or membership

  • Complete a transaction

Manual conversion

  1. Open the lead profile from the Leads Dashboard.

  2. Click Convert in the top-right corner of the profile.

  3. Assign a Preferred Business β€” this field is required to complete the conversion.

  4. Click Confirm.

The lead moves to your Clients & Pets list and is removed from the Leads Dashboard.

View convert history

To see a record of all leads that have been converted:

  • Go to the Leads Dashboard, click Options, then select View convert history.
