SMS credits let your business send text messages through MoeGo. Your available balance can include credits from your subscription plan and credits purchased through SMS add-on packages.
This guide explains how each type of credit works, including renewal and rollover rules for single-location and multi-location businesses.
How SMS credits work
Your SMS balance may include:
Credit type | How you receive it | What happens at your next billing date? |
Plan credits | Included with your subscription plan | Unused credits expire and your plan allowance renews |
Purchased credits | Added through a manual purchase or Auto Reload | Unused credits roll over until they are used |
Holiday plan bonus | Claimed during the 2026 Holiday offer | Unused credits expire with the billing cycle; a new bonus is added to the next qualifying cycle during the offer |
Holiday package credits | Included in an SMS package purchased during the 2026 Holiday offer | Unused credits roll over until they are used |
đ Note: Your billing date is the date your subscription renews. It is also when the SMS credits included with your plan reset.
Plan credits
Your subscription includes an SMS allowance for each billing cycle. The amount depends on your country, business type, subscription plan, and number of locations or mobile units.
Plan credits:
Renew on your billing date.
Do not roll over to the next billing cycle.
Are calculated according to your subscription and business units.
For example, if your billing cycle renews on October 15, unused plan credits from the previous cycle expire on October 15. Your plan allowance then renews for the new cycle.
Purchased credits
You can purchase SMS add-on packages when you need more messaging capacity.
Purchased credits:
Do not expire.
Roll over across billing cycles until they are used.
Can be purchased manually or through Auto Reload.
For package options and purchase instructions, see Purchase and manage SMS add-on packages.
How credits work for multiple locations
SMS credits follow the plan-and-location rules for your account.
All locations and mobile units under the company share the same billing date.
SMS allowances are calculated for each location or mobile unit under the account.
The available balance and usage shown in Message Report depend on the selected location.
đĄ Tip: If a balance or renewal date looks different from what you expect, first confirm that you are viewing the correct location and billing cycle.
Check your available credits
Open Messages: Go to Messages in MoeGo.
Select the location: Confirm that you are viewing the correct location or mobile unit.
Select SMS available: Open Message Report from the SMS balance in the header.
Select the billing cycle: Choose the cycle you want to review.
Review the totals: Compare credits from your plan, purchased credits, and the credits already used.
Message Report may show:
From your plan: Credits included with your subscription for the selected billing cycle.
Purchased: Credits purchased manually or through Auto Reload.
Two-Way Message: Credits used by outgoing conversational messages.
Auto Message: Credits used by automated messages.
Auto Call: Usage from automated phone reminders, when applicable.
Unlimited Auto Messages: Eligible Auto Messages sent under an unlimited allowance. These do not reduce the SMS balance.
