What clients can manage: agreements & communication preferences

How pet parents sign service agreements and update their notification preferences directly in the portal — and what this saves your staff from doing manually.

The Online Client Portal lets pet parents take action on two things that would otherwise require your staff's time: signing service agreements and updating their notification preferences.

This article explains what clients can do in the Agreements and Communication sections.

Agreements

The Agreements section is where pet parents sign and view your service agreements. You no longer need to chase signatures — the portal handles it.

Clients see two tabs:

  • Unsigned tab — agreements you've sent that are waiting for a signature. If a client has unsigned agreements, a prompt appears when they log in to remind them.

  • Signed tab — agreements the client has already signed, showing the agreement name, signed date, and a copy of the full agreement text with their drawn signature at the bottom.

The system will auto-detect an unsigned agreement for you.

To sign an agreement, clients tap the unsigned card, read the full terms, and draw their signature directly on screen. The signature is legally binding and permanently stored.

📝 Note: Agreements appear in the portal based on what your business has configured in your agreement settings. You control which agreements clients are required to sign and when.

Communication preferences

The Communication section lets pet parents control how they receive notifications from your business. This is important for compliance — clients managing their own preferences reduces your risk of sending unwanted messages.

Clients see a list of notification categories and can tap any row to update their channel preferences:

Each channel can be toggled on or off independently. Changes take effect immediately and sync across all MoeGo communication channels — no manual update needed from your side.

📝 Note: When a client updates their preferences here, it automatically updates their notification settings in their client profile in MoeGo. You can always check a client's current preferences from their profile.
