MoeGo collects client notification consent at two key touchpoints: the intake form and the online booking portal. Both are designed to capture written consent in a compliant, transparent way — so your records stay accurate without any manual follow-up.

Intake form — Marketing Policy toggle
Every intake form includes a Marketing Policy toggle. When a client submits the form, MoeGo automatically records their consent and updates their notification preferences accordingly.
To confirm the toggle is included in your form:
Go to Intake Form.
Open or create a form.
Look for the Marketing Policy toggle — it is enabled by default.
⚠️ Important: Keeping the Marketing Policy toggle ON ensures that client consent is captured every time a form is submitted. Turning it off means marketing consent will not be collected through this touchpoint.
📝 Note: Each new form submission updates the client's existing preference. The most recent response always applies — so if a client submits a new form later, their record will reflect the updated answer.
Online booking — notification consent pop-up
When a pet parent signs up or logs in to your online booking portal, MoeGo shows a notification consent pop-up. This is where they choose which types of messages they'd like to receive and through which channels.
The pop-up asks pet parents to:

📝 Note: The online booking consent pop-up now collects marketing SMS consent only. Service-related notification preferences are no longer included in this step.
This step is optional — pet parents can skip it and continue with their booking. If they skip, their authorization status will remain incomplete.
📝 Note: The channel options pre-selected in this pop-up reflect your company-level default notification settings.
💡 Tip: The pop-up title, description, opt-in button text, and "Strongly recommended" badge are all customizable.
How pet parents can update their preferences
📝 Note: The method is only available in the updated online booking portal. If your business is still using the older version, please contact MoeGo support to enable the new portal.
Pet parents can review and update their notification preferences at any time through the Client Portal — no need to contact your business.
Go to Online Booking > Online Booking Portal > Communication Settings.
Toggle marketing campaigns SMS on or off.
Changes take effect immediately and sync across all MoeGo communication channels.
